Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
Information about this unit:
This course teaches the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. This course is developed for existing workers in the industry who may require CPR training as recommended by the ARC.

Prerequisite:
Students must be at least 14 years of age at the time of attendance.
Clothing: We suggest that you wear comfortable casual clothing, as the practical nature of the demonstrations and practice may possibly require bending, kneeling and lying on the floor. Pants and flat shoes are recommended.
Award Issued:
Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded
the statement of attainment for:

Initial Course duration:
Face to Face: 2.5 hours face to face training
Refresher course duration:
Face to Face: 2 hours face to face training

Blended Learning duration:
1 hour online learning
45mins Face to Face practical assessment
Recertification recommended every 12 months.
To qualify for a refresher course, you must bring a copy of your current certificate
to the training session. You will then be required to:​

Proof of currency must be submitted to qualify for this course.

The following assessment tasks are required for this course:
24 multiple choice questions - knowledge assessment
Respond to these simulated emergency scenarios:

Responding to a cardiac arrest for an adult
-
Responding to a cardiac arrest for an infant
Important Note: CPR must be demonstrated on the floor for 2 minute
