Provide basic emergency life support
Information about this unit:
This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance. This course is suitable for those students requiring workplace first aid skills. This course was previously called Level 1 first aid.

Prerequisite:
Students must be at least 14 years of age at the time of attendance.
Clothing: We suggest that you wear comfortable casual clothing, as the practical nature of the demonstrations and practice may possibly require bending, kneeling and lying on the floor. Pants and flat shoes are recommended.
Target audience:
Those who are required to provide an emergency first aid response in a workplace.
Award Issued:
Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded
the statement of attainment for:

Initial Course duration:
Face to Face: 6 hours face to face training
Refresher course duration:
Face to Face: 5 hours face to face training
Recertification recommended every 3 years.
To qualify for a refresher course, you must bring a copy of your current certificate to the training session. You will then be required to:

Complete 3 hour practical course.

Proof of currency must be submitted to qualify for this course
